UCLA Black Alumni Association starts off 2018 with laser focus on the plight of Black Men and issues of Social Justice as we host Oscar winning artist Common and Hall of Fame NBA Player Kareem Abdul Jabbar for an exclusive 1-1 Conversation on issues like bail disparity, police brutality, mass incarceration and the #movements. This will be followed by a powerhouse panel discussion to include Dr. Kelly Lyte-Hernandez, Interim Director of the Ralph Bunche Center for Social Justice, Dr. Tyrone Howard of Black Male Institute, Dr. Boyce Watkins and other esteemed guests. 

The Panel Discussion will conclude with a VIP Reception and Book Signing with Kareem Abdul Jabbar! VIP Guests receive a complimentary copy of Kareem's latest book "Becoming Kareem". Refreshments will be served.

Proceeds from this event support the ongoing mission of the Skyhook Foundation and UBAA student focused programming for 2018.
